Treasures of the UAE

The SMCCU has announced the winners in the 2012 ‘Treasures of the UAE’ art competition. Participants were asked to submit a piece of artwork that captures the essence of one of the UAE ’s famous historical sites or landmarks *.

The 24 winners were selected by young Emirati artists from Tashkeel Gallery and were honored at our National Day Celebrations on   2^nd December 2012 . All winners now have their artwork on display in a ‘Treasures of the UAE exhibition' at our traditional heritage house in the historic Bastakiya area of Dubai from 2^nd December 2012 to 2^nd January 2013. Therir artwork will also be featured in the 'Treasures of the UAE' 2013 Calendar now available at the SMCCU.

Winners also took home the fantastic prize of AED 1,000 and received a voucher from the SMCCU for at a complimentary Cultural Lunch for a family of 5 .
